Business Development Manager



  • Build and develop a sales plan and growth pipeline aimed to identify, form and expand prospects, building strong client relationships in order to manage and grow the production sector. 
  • Work with internal marketing and sales teams to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives. Work with Market Managers to ensure Product and Technology Roadmaps are aligned with market and customer expectations.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service discussions.
  • Attend industry/sector functions, such as events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels in the Production sector, that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop Plasma’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Gather VOC to confirm NPI and tactical objectives have been met and the needs of the Production market are being satisfied.
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within Plasma’s sales management system.
  • Accurately forecast sales targets
  • Work with sales support teams to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
  • Present business development training and mentoring to internal staff.
  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the Plasma’s people and capabilities.
  • Understand the Plasma’s goal and purpose so that you can work to enhance the company’s performance.
  • This role is part of our OIPT senior management team, therefore the role holder will be expected to contribute to the development of our business, outside their expertise.

Education / Qualifications:

  • A technical, relevant higher education qualification is preferred.
  • In depth experience of relevant technologies and processes.
Professional Skills/ Abilities:
  • An ability to quickly understand the technical issues of relevant Semiconductor products and processes is necessary.
  • Evidence of developing new markets with new or existing products
  • Customer focus – takes into account the customer needs in recommending solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluency in Mandarin and English.
